April Ross
April Ross, a beach volleyball player in the US, is among a select group of women who have been awarded medals at more than one Olympics. Alix Klineman has become a brand new Olympian and is set to join her at Tokyo. Ross will also be hoping for her very first Olympic gold. It could be the last time she has the chance at age 39. However, she's convinced that top prizes are in reach. Ross stated via NBC Boston: "If we perform our best and If we play our best I believe we can win the gold medal." "I'm planning to test to have a bit of luck." Ross born August 22nd, 1982 at Costa Mesa California. She resided there together with her parents. In addition to participating in a variety of sports, Ross was also a student at Newport Harbor High School. Her pre-athletic career comprised indoor volleyball along with basketball, track and running. But she stood out in this sport. In her college volleyball season in her university biography she played as an outside-hitter, middle blocker and setter. The award was presented to her as by the Gatorade National Circle of Champions player of the Year in 1999 for her achievements. Also, she won the 1999 Orange County Athlete of the Award for volleyball. Ross and Klineman began their partnership in 2017, However, Ross was a beach scene star for years before. She has won major events twice, with various partners. One of them is an icon of the volleyball world. Jennifer Kessy coached her from 2007 until 2013. Ross, the teammate of Kessy's, who won the world title with Kessy in 2009 was also significant on the an international level. The duo would go through to take home a silver medal at the 2012 Olympic Games at London. They were defeated for the gold by the legendary group comprised of Misty May-Treanor as well as Kerri Walsh (Jennings). Ross Jennings became Walsh Jennings partner in fate when Maytreanor retired. They won the bronze medal in beach volleyball during the Rio Olympics 2016. Ross played for the Trojans of USC throughout her college prior to becoming a professional. Her time in the Trojans' ranks was one to remember. She was an All-American and Pac-10 Freshman of Year in 2000 as a young freshman. Also, she was an integral player for helping the Trojans make their way to the Final Four. She was devastated by a personal tragedy during her sophomore years, yet she managed to become an All-American in her second year. Over the course of her final two seasons she led the Trojans to the top of the mountain and won consecutive national titles. The achievements of each individual have established her place as a legendary volleyball player. She won the Honda Sports Award 2003-04 for the nation's best female collegiate player. Ross was a major in international relations at USC. Margie Ross did not get to witness her daughter's rise to fame as a beach volleyball player. Ross suffered the loss of her mom to cancer of the breast in the year 2001. Ross was then a sophomore. But she still keeps her parents close to her the heart. Margie is a source of inspiration in her life and on the beach.
